The dynamic Muslim Communities of Houston is what attracted me to Houston in 2009. My family has benefitted tremendously from the hard work of those who came before us. My children attended Al-Hadi School, and I attended several of the local centers. Each one provided a different flavor of dedication to Ahlul Bayt. However, due to the large sprawl of Houston, many centers and community members were isolated and were generally unaware of the various programs, opportunities and resources that various community members have worked hard to establish. Houston Islam is an attempt bring awareness of all the various Muslim Institutions, Organizations and Resources in the Houston area, onto one page for people to access easily. Our mission is to help each other access available resources and to create unity among the Muslim community in Houston.
